About Us
Pastor Dale Satrum started Foothills Community Church in March 1998 with about 30 people. Since that time, God has been doing some amazing things. We have moved out of the overcrowded Molalla Elementary School to a vacant grocery store in order to accommodate more people and ministries. After six years in the former Sentry Market building, we have outgrown the current space and are looking to expand once again. We have grown to multiple services. We have added more ministries and we have expanded to more opportunities to serve the community. The Lord has us on an incredible journey! We believe that we are a church of destiny; that God is the One who birthed this church for an express purpose that He wants to fulfill in this community. At Foothills, we don’t believe in “playing church”, we believe in “being the church”. We would love to have you come and discover just what that means at Foothills.
About Lead Pastor Dale Satrum
Pastor Dale has been in the ministry for over 23 years. He has been married to his wife Lisa since 1987 and they have two teenage daughters. Pastor Dale graduated from Multnomah Bible College and later earned an MA at Multnomah Biblical Seminary.
He has a unique perspective on ministry in Molalla. Growing up in Molalla and now serving here for over 20 years, Dale has an “insiders” perspective on the challenges unique to this community and a great love for all the people God is bringing to this area. Pastor Dale is not one of those “ivory tower” pastors. He’s just like everyone else. He does have an extraordinary passion to see God make a difference in this community and he would love for you to be a part of it.
